Sanne has worked as a project researcher for the Knowledge Platform since September 2020. She obtained her PhD in philosophy at the University of Groningen by writing a dissertation on democracy in highly divided societies. Her dissertation focused on group identity, conflict and democracy in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is especially interested in questions of justice. In her work, she finds it important to try to build connections between scientific research and (policy) practice. Trained in philosophy, she has extensive experience with interdisciplinary research, with which she can contribute to the multidisciplinary team of the Knowledge Platform.
